What type of boiler do I need when replacing my old boiler?

There are several boilers that need extra room to be installed properly. One of these boilers is any type of triple pass boiler. They generally extend your installation length and some homeowners do not have this room available. If that is the case, you can, opt for a floor standing atmospheric boiler. These boilers generally do not take up as much room.
If you are getting a floor standing boiler it is important to know that you are getting a cast-iron boiler and not a steel boiler. The savings on the equipment will not justify the increase in fuel needed to run the steel boiler. A steel boiler will not last as long as a cast-iron boiler with a life expectancy of 20 years compared to 40 years plus .
